Johnson County Aging and Human Services is celebrating Older Americans Month by hosting a series of weekly classes in May.

Please Join us on May 6th for our Container Gardening Class. We are partnering with K-State Extension Master Gardners. Supplies will be provided along with lunch. We encourage participants 60+ to attend with limited seats and must register for the event.

Established in 1963, Older Americans Month (OAM) is celebrated every May. Led by the Administration for Community Living (ACL), a federal agency, OAM recognizes older Americans' contributions, highlights aging trends, and reaffirms commitments to serving older adults in our communities. 

This year's theme, "Powered by Connection," focuses on the profound impact of meaningful connections on older adults' well-being and health.
