 tal Health First Aid is designed to teach parents\
 , family members\, caregivers\, teachers\, school 
 staff\, peers\, neighbors\, health and human servi
 ces workers\, and other caring citizens how to hel
 p an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a 
 mental health or addictions challenge or is in cri
 sis.</p>\n \n <p><strong>Why Youth Mental Health F
 irst Aid?</strong><br />\n Youth Mental Health Fir
 st Aid teaches you how to identify\, understand an
 d respond to signs of mental illness and substance
  use disorders in youth. This training gives adult
 s who work with youth the skills they need to reac
 h out and provide initial support to children and 
 adolescents (ages 6-18) who may be developing a me
 ntal health or substance use problem and help conn
 ect them to the appropriate care.</p>\n \n <p><str

 Format:</strong><br />\n Participants must complet
 e 2 hours of pre-work using a computer with an int
 ernet connection prior to the live session. After 
 this pre-work is complete\, participants will be a
 ble to attend the live training on Zoom from 9:00 
 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on the date you enrolled for. </p
