Are you a grandparent, relative, or caregiver stepping back into the parenting role? Johnson County Mental Health Center invites you to our bi-monthly PASTA support group during Recovery Night on Thursdays at Resurrection, a United Methodist Church, in Leawood.
 
Created by Cornell University, PASTA (Parenting a Second Time Around) is a support group for grandparents, relatives or caregivers who have entered the parenting role again. PASTA provides a welcoming space where caregivers can connect, share experiences, and gain valuable tools to navigate this unique journey. Each session features a presenter offering practical information, skills, and resources to empower you in your caregiving role.

5:30 p.m. - Pizza and Fellowship
6:15 p.m. - Testimony
7:00 - 8:00 p.m. - PASTA Meeting - PASTA Meeting - Join Tim Kruse, Community Prevention Coordinator with Johnson County Mental Health Center, for an informative presentation on three popular online platforms—Roblox, Discord, and Lootboxes. This session will explore what each of these tools are, how they are used by youth, and the potential risks they pose when misused. Attendees will gain practical tips to promote safety, encourage healthy digital habits, and foster open conversations with young people about their online activities.
