Event Description
Parent Support Group
Supporting Black Children through Co-Regulation
Join us for our Parent Support Group for parents and caregivers parenting Black and African American children seeking support to navigate through triggers, escalations, and crisis. This parent group provides practical guidance grounded in unique lived experiences, why co-regulation matters, and repair. The group aims to help parents support their children and explore teaching through connection, building co-regulation skills, skill-building, and language parents can practice (emotionally intelligent & protective).
What You’ll Gain:
This group is facilitated by Parent Peer Support Specialist with lived experience, offers a safe space where parents and caregivers can learn from one another, share, and explore CALM strategies to support their child’s emotional and behavioral needs. Parent and Caregivers will have opportunities to engage in discussions, exchange ideas, and strengthen their skills.
