Third Thursday
Understanding the Teenage Brain

Join us for Third Thursdays, an engaging parent group where you can connect with other parents, share experiences and gain practical tools for supporting your family.

This session is inspired by Brainstorm: The Power and Purpose of the Teenage Brain (ages 12 to 24) by Dr. Daniel Siegel. You don’t need to read the book—our facilitators will share key ideas and lead thought-provoking conversations. Parenting expert Dr. Daniel Siegel — Brainstorm invites parents to shift from fear to understanding, embracing the teenage brain’s developmental arc. By combining science and practical guidance, Siegel offers an integrated road map: one that channels emotional intensity, supports safe exploration, and fortifies mental well-being through connection and insight.

Connect with other parents, share experiences, and walk away with ideas and strategies to help your family start the school year with confidence.

What you’ll gain:
  • Practical strategies, such as encourage healthy risk-taking
  • Psychoeducation on the four universal characteristics of adolescent brain development
