Jen Melby, Co-Responder Team Lead, will be joined by Jason Hinkle, Chair of the Kansas Law Enforcement CIT Council and Lenexa sergeant over co-responders, to present on mental health crises involving law enforcement. Parents will learn about the partnership between law enforcement, the mental health system, courts, individuals with mental illness and their families. Jen and Jason will share about the CIT Council, training for officers, and the Johnson County co-responder program.

Parent Connect is open to any parent or caregiver living in Johnson County. The goal of the series is to provide parents and caregivers with information and learning opportunities through presentations from community and parenting experts.
