WHY ADULT MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID?
Mental Health First Aid is an interactive course that gives people the skills to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.

WHAT MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID COVERS

  • Common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges.
  • Common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges.
  • How to interact with a person in crisis.
  • How to connect a person with help.
  • Expanded content on trauma, substance use and self-care.

CLASS DETAILS

  • Open to adults ages 18+
  • Free to attend; advance registration required
  • Includes 2-hour online pre-work + 6-hour in-person training
  • Lunch provided
  • In-person only; childcare not available
